Dev’s family was against this marriage and hence this rejection turns this descent into an alcoholic and it leads to an emotional deterioration and him seeking help from a prostitute, Chandramukhi (Madhuri Dixit). 2002 Cannes Film Festival screened this movie.
Devdas bagged the ‘Filmfare Best Film’ along with another 10 Filmfare awards. The movie also won 5 National Awards.

Veer-Zaara is an Indian classic romantic drama film under the Yash Raj Films banner. Chak De! India is an Indian Sports Film which was a big hit in that year. It explores religious discrimination, racism, the inheritance of the partition of India, cultural and regional partiality and prejudice in contemporary India in an illusory story revolving around the “Indian women’s national hockey team” which was stimulated by the country’s win at the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
Shah Rukh Khan is in the lead role who is the former captain of the Indian men’s national field hockey team. There comes a situation in the film where he losses against Pakistan. Kabir Khan(Shah Rukh Khan) is detected from the sport and his angry neighbors force him out of his house.
After seven years, to redeem himself, Kabir Khan becomes the coach of the Indian national women’s hockey team and targets to turn his team’s sixteen antagonistic players into a championship unit.
Chak De! India won a number of awards, counting the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
On 30 August 2007, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences requested a copy of the script of the film for a place in its Margaret Herrick Library. This was a great achievement for the film.
